Now any type of cardio will suffice. However the best type of cardio is medium paced. The most important thing here is to stick with it. Aim for 30-45 minutes, a minimum of 2 times a week.

Keep this in mind and write it down. Having 3 pounds of added muscle is burns as many calories as a one mile job, while your body is resting. This is why weightlifting is important. Again like the cardio 30-45 minutes, a minimum of 2 times a week. There are so many different types of exercises that you can do. The best six pack exercises are squats and deadlifts, because they work out the entire body. For other types you can consult the fitness instructor or you can look up some weightlifting routines online.

The last part of working out that you should focus on is the abs themselves. This seems kind of funny since this is the area that you are trying to shape up, but trust me on this one. You have to lower your body fat in order for your abs to show. There are a variety of six pack abs exercises that you can do; find some that you like and mix it up. You should focus on an ab workout 2-3 times a week.

Tip: Change your workout routine every 2 weeks to keep your body guessing and changing. Add or take away different weight or ab exercises, or at the very least, vary the weight, reps or form of cardio you do. This will boost the result and keep the challenge.
